Message	RTA - (Real Time Analyzer) Is a microphone monitoring system which displays and/or records sounds as your system plays them. If you put a flat signal in (pink noise) in, the RTA shows what your system spits out. You get the source signal plus whatever "coloration" your system adds. Minimizing the coloration and getting as close to the source signal, flat pink noise, is ideal. This is what artists listen to when they're recording a song. So by getting it flat, you get as close to the artist's original soundbooth. But flat sounds really weird to most people the first time. So it's nice to have it flat (as close as my 13 band EQ allows) when I want I want too, and have the adjustability of the headunit EQ to add any on the fly EQing for a bad recording or if I just want more boom :-) "...Downpipes own.
